Srishti Dabas -Biography
Srishti Dabas, a 25-year-old girl belonging to the North West part of Delhi made history on the 16th of April 2024 with the announcement of this year’s UPSC CSE results. She secured an outstanding rank of 6th in the civil service exam of India. Born in a middle-class family with a father who is a sub-inspector and a mother who is a homemaker, Srishti’s journey of becoming an IAS is not only motivational but also an apt display of hard work, dedication, and commitment that an aspirant should put to get success in cracking the civil service exam.
Srishti Dabas- Educational Background
Srishti Dabas has been a scholar from the days of her childhood. She has done her 10th at Ganga International School. The streak of excellence continued in her 12th as well where she scored a stellar 96%. After her 12th she pursued her graduation in Political Science at Indraprastha College which falls under Delhi University. After graduating she chose to do her master’s in Political science through distance education from IGNOU. Her academic achievements were the reason for her family to encourage her with her dreams of becoming an Indian Administrative Officer.
Srishti Dabas- Work Experience
Initially, Dabas worked with the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment. Later on, she went on to become a grade B officer in the Reserve Bank of India (RBI). She had a pivotal role in the Human Recruitment department of RBI as she was in the charge of the appraisal of employees. As far as the salary goes, her RBI job used to give her a lucrative amount, a sum of 2.5 lakhs per month.

Srishti Dabas hail from Rani Khera, North-west of Delhi. Her family includes her father, an assistant sub-inspector in the Delhi police department, and her mother who is a homemaker. Srishti Dabas started preparing for UPSC CSE as soon as finished her graduation. She started preparing for the civil service exam in 2022 while she was also pursuing her master’s degree in Political Science through distance education at IGNOU. It is to be noted that along with preparing for both her master’s degree and UPSC exams she was also a working professional. She was working in RBI as a grade B officer.
