Siddharth Shukla Biography
Hailing from Azamgarh District, Siddharth Shukla belongs to a middle-class family. Despite facing initial setbacks, Siddharth demonstrated resilience and determination by clearing the UPSC exams after failing in his first two attempts.
According to Siddharth Shukla’s uncle, Ravindra Nath Shukla, Siddharth’s father, Shrikant Shukla, also wanted to become an IAS officer. Shrikant attempted the exam three times but unfortunately did not succeed due to certain reasons. However, today, Siddharth has fulfilled his father’s dream.

Siddharth Shukla hails from a modest background. His father is currently employed at a newspaper called “Lucknow Samachar,” while his mother is a teacher. Siddharth has two elder brothers. Despite facing numerous challenges along his journey, Siddharth exhibited unwavering determination and put in immense effort, ultimately succeeding in the Public Service Commission exam. Initially, Siddharth Shukla sought coaching for General Science while independently studying his chosen subject, History. When his efforts failed to yield desired results, he decided to explore alternative options. During his preparation phase, Siddharth consciously distanced himself from social media, relying on his mother’s phone for occasional conversations with friends. He firmly believes that aspiring individuals should minimise their social media presence as it tends to be a distraction with limited advantages
Siddharth Shukla Success story
His journey in the UPSC exams was marked by setbacks. In his initial attempt, he faced a major setback in the Mains examination. The second attempt didn’t fare well either, with unsatisfactory scores in the interview stage. Disappointingly, he didn’t even secure an interview opportunity in his third attempt.
He expressed that these setbacks provided him with ample time to rectify his approach and make it impeccable. Determined to turn the tide, he meticulously devised plans for the next day, fortnight, and month. These plans included specific targets for mock tests and test series within defined time frames.
As a History graduate from Delhi’s Khalsa College, where he excelled as the subject topper, he diligently followed his day-to-day and monthly plans. He firmly believes that this disciplined approach was the highlight of his entire preparation journey.
A year ago, Siddharth Shukla earned a prestigious position as an Assistant Commandant and is presently undergoing training in Hyderabad. The announcement of Siddharth’s success in the Public Service Commission has sparked immense happiness among his family and supporters

Driven by a deep interest in spiritual writings, Siddharth Shukla explored the profound teachings found within esteemed texts such as The Bhagavad Gita and various Upanishads. However, it was a transformative experience when he encountered a book titled ‘The Network of Thoughts’ by philosopher Jiddu Krishnamurti. This literary masterpiece revolutionised his perspective and approach to life. It instilled in him a process-oriented mindset, emphasising the significance of preparation and putting efforts into giving tests, rather than fixating on marks and rank. He now imparts this valuable advice to others, encouraging them to adopt a similar mindset.
